“I have been in Atlanta for more than 5 years, and came as a Graduate student to study ECE at Georgia Tech. John’s homes have provided me shelter during all these years. I have lived at more than one of these properties during different phases of my graduate program. It has been so comfortable and seamless that I have always likened Atlanta to a ‘home away from home’. I have enjoyed marvelous locations, world class amenities, and absolutely lovely neighbors.

The best thing about these properties is their proximity to campus. You just cant go wrong here. They are also located in some of the safest places you can find close to Georgia Tech. Once you are in, rest assured all your residential needs will be taken care of. Atlanta would appear home to you, just as it has appeared to me over all these years.”

“Mr. Griffin has been my landlord for more than 2 years. In these years, I have observed that he is very attentive towards his tenants’ needs. He is prompt in responding to any maintenance requests at his properties. He constantly wants to provide a great living experience at his properties and wants to improve our experience by renovating his properties, adding more facilities (such as bathrooms or temporary walls (curtains)) for different rooms, and just caring for his tenants. Though he says that his properties are not furnished, most of his residents have a couch or a bed, or a dining table with chairs, or a chest of drawers that he has provided. In my opinion, he is the best landlord that one will find in Atlanta.”

“I stayed in one of John’s houses off Atlantic Drive for a year from Aug. 2009 to July 2010. The house itself was a little old but we took it because it was relatively cheaper than other houses. The house was painted and steam cleaned before our stay and in spite of being slightly below the ground there were rarely any issues with bugs or rodents.

Throughout our stay there, John was very accommodating and all in all a good leaser. He promptly (within a week) repaired anything that was broken and was proactive in making sure that the tenants did not have any significant problems/issues. The house did not have a central heating system and he provided room heaters for all rooms (including the bath). Sometimes due to internal leakage, the water bill overshot the usual amount by $50-75 and John agreed to pay the difference, which was very considerate of him.

Dude to unforeseen circumstances (weekends/forgetfulness) we paid the rent a bit late (maybe 4-5 days) a couple of times and he did not ever demand that we pay up instantly or intimidate us in any way. He also gave us some furniture that was in one of his storage places. Overall, we had a great experience and I am planning to stay in one of his houses starting next year.”

“Staying at the house on State Street has been easy, reliable and comfortable. The house itself is much nicer than many alternative accommodations in Home Park. My only real complaint is that previous tenants always leave behind a bit of a mess and some damage to the property itself. Mr. Griffin is always responsive when something needs to be done and is one of the nicest landlords I’ve ever had. I hope this helps you make a decision about where to live.”

“I have had nothing but a good experience with Mr Griffin as a landlord. I mean yeah the houses are more suited for college kids, but they are older houses. The main thing I like about John is he is pretty down to earth, as well as being responsive to serious issues, but also giving the tenants a fair amount of space.”
